We first heard about the the Supermodel Skateboard series last September, a collaboration between the Swiss brand Doodah and fashion photographers Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer (Vogue Paris, i-D, and others). Each board in the series featured hot (and naked) models Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Toni Garrn and Edita. Erin Wasson (far left in the image above) will be joining her partners in Aphroditic awesomeness as the newest addition to the set, announced yesterday on Doodah.ch and available in mid-August.

Rosa for Shorty’s: (1990s)
Shorty’s pimped out Rosa like crazy in the ’90s—she was on every poster, catalog, skate shop wall and deck. She even made it to video.

The Vivid girls teamed up with the obscure Canadian skate company Control MFG last year for a Jan. 2009 team series. Getting your name plastered all over the porn “fan sites” is one way to get your name out there.

Speedy German Skater Is Above The Law

While most cool-guy skaters focus on kick-flipping and 40/40 grinding rails, German shredders apparently have a need for speed. The police in Berlin are searching for a man who was speeding down a highway at 62 mph on his skateboard.

According to reports, the skater (who remains at large) is a professional stuntman. He worked up to the illegal speed by holding on to the back of a motorcycle to build momentum and then “free-wheeling” his way to the unheard of 62 mph. Although he’s evaded the po-po thus far, we're thinking it won't take long to catch the predator, thanks to a gang of YouTube clips that have popped up since the boarder took flight. Paul Rodriguez’s Signature Collection For Incase

A couple weeks ago, we showed you a first look at Paul Rodriguez’s Signature Collection for Incase. That was the more limited, more premium (and more expensive!) collection, but Incase just hit us up with some photos of the standard series that will be dropping in wider distribution.

This tier of the Signature Collection will feature the same styles in ballistic nylon, but lacking the premium leather accents of the LE series. It will be available in the next few weeks at skateshops around the country and at Incase. Check out a full rundown of the collection below.,

Vans was in NYC this week to celebrate the launch of the sneaker they created with smoking hot Victoria's Secret Supermodel Marisa Miller. Although the California-brand is best know for it’s mash-ups with skaters and artists, Vans said eef it and added the leggy-model to their already stacked collabo roster.

Besides bringing the Sports Illustrated cover model by to meet the crew (she looks even better in real life!), Vans thanked its NYC connects by gifting these skateboards designed by Taka Hayashi to friends, family, and VIPs. You might recognize the graphic from the Authentic LXs that Taka did in back in May. Hit the jump for close-up photos of the decks.

Kevin Long Skates All Day And All Night

Being a professional skateboarder has its fair share of perks. Money, women and a signature sneaker are just a few of the benefits that 23-year-old Kevin “Spanky” Long gets to reap. But with the release of his new Emerica shoe, The Spanky, he’s putting all the glamor aside to promote it through a grueling 24-hour commercial.

Called Kevin All Day And Night Long, the clip follows young Kev on a skate marathon with artist Donny Miller (pictured above on the left), covering over 24 miles in California and documenting the adventures they encounter along the way. It will be aired online on June 24 at 6 AM (PST), so catch up on your sleep now. Watch a quick trailer below.

Big Brother Magazine Is Back

In the decade before Jackass-related content started to flood MTV, Big Brother magazine was the source for all half-crazy skateboarding enthusiasts. Is today’s world ready for it to return?

A mix of insider skate coverage, outrageous comedy and boundary-pushing social commentary, Big Brother was a one-of-a-kind magazine that fostered the budding careers of the future Jackass crew (Johnny Knoxville’s first stunts appeared in the mag’s video Number Two). After Larry Flynt bought the magazine in the late '90s, the content was somewhat toned-down, which resulted in the magazine eventually folding in 2004.

Well, according to a new announcement from Big Brother alum and Jackass producer Jeff Tremaine, the magazine will be back'on the internet. It seems that Big Brother will be relaunched as a section of jackassworld.com, the official Jackass site, where it will serve as the crew’s destination for credible skate coverage. The back issues will be available, and the majority of the original magazine team is also expected to return.

It’s kind of hard to tell what’s staged and what’s real when it comes to these type of video clips these days, but it’s almost irrelevant. If it’s fake, it’s still a good counterfeit, and if it’s authentic, well, all the more better. Watch as this dude does not pull of a 360 inside a construction tube, but does eventually go round and round.

Tony Hawk Hopes You’ll ‘Shred Or Die’

We’ve got good news for the action sports junkies among you. A new video sharing website has launched called Shred or Die that was co-founded by skate king Tony Hawk. It can best be described as a ‘YouTube for action sports’ and features videos with an emphasis on skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, BMX, motorcross, and if there’s scantily clad models in bikinis, a runway show here and there too. Users are encouraged to “shred” or “die” uploaded videos, thereby providing a peer based voting system that highlights the best possible content and moves the good stuff up the list, while keeping the crap stuff in check. In addition to providing targeted content, the video player itself offers a lot of cool options. It gives users the power to toggle slow motion, a jump back 5 seconds button (great for watching gnarly bails), and even a frame by frame option so you can catch all the action. Skateboarders Invent New Ways To Snap, Cackle, Pop

Picture this. You’ve just spent over 3 hours blowing up 8000 balloons using 2 air compressors and now it’s time to pop them. What to do? Why not throw them in a skate bowl, have someone drop in, and see what happens? That’s exactly what these skaters did, and to their fun filled delight, the wheels don’t even get caught on the balloons, they just pop them. And keep in mind these pops are 100% authentic, per the description for the clip: “The popping sounds are not added in. That is the real audio of balloons popping.” As is the off camera laughter, which is the real comedy gold in this clip.

Skate Royalty Host SF Art Show

If you're kicking it in SF, drop in on the Stussy store (1409 Haight) to sample the latest art from skate-legend-slash-artist Tony Alva, artist Greg “Pnut” Galinsky, and Vans honcho Evert Lee. The show, titled Southern Comfort, kicks off at seven and follows it up with an after party at Milk. The artists plan to tour the show around the globe, setting their sights on London, Athens, Tokyo and others. The original mayor of Dogtown, who just turned 50 two weeks ago, ain’t slowing down.

Skate Or Died!

In a nice departure from his paintings of mystical ships, silly pink bunnies and flying skulls, artist Jeremy Fish drops his new ‘Dead Rapper Series’ of hand painted skate decks. He featured Jam Master Jay, Biggie Smalls, Buffy, and last but not least, O.D.B. As the artist notes, “these hand cut decks are made with defective skateboards,” so no board was killed in the making of this art project, just rappers. Check out some more of his sketches, paintings, skateboards, and otherworldly creations on his website.

Jake Brown Goes Down

This clip of Jake Brown eating it at the X-Games is quickly making its way around the internets and media alike. After dropping in and successfully landing a huge 720, the skater went for some major air and then disaster struck. He fell more than 40 feet from the top of the ramp and slammed down onto the half pipe. The slow motion footage of his sneakers popping off really drives home how hard this dude really hit. Amazingly, he was able to walk away from this thing on his own two, but slightly injured, feet.

Security Guard Tries To Walk Through Vallely, Ends Up In the Shadow of Death

Remember that infamous clip of bad boy pro skater Mike Vallely smacking the shit out of those four kids for calling him a “skater fag”? Here it is if you don’t. Although this new clip certainly isn’t as violent as the latter, it’s worth a watch as Mike applies some lethal force to a security guard whose bark ends up being a whole lot worse than his bite. The clip basically closes with Vallely putting the dude in a choke hold and telling him to bounce before he really gets hurt.

Supra Hits The Right Coast

The Supra skate team dropped in Long Island’s premiere skate-shop Special Sauce for an autograph signing, bbq and skate exhibition as part of their “East Coast Mission” tour. Riders like Chad Muska, Jim Greco and Antwaun Dixon signed autographs as young’ins grinded Sauce’s home-made rails. In the evening, skate props were replaced with wooden-planks, and the event turned from a skate demo to a b-boy battle. That shit’s way harder than ollieing, peep the pics after the jump.
