The Batmobile Is For Sale On Ebay

If you’re a real 80’s baby, you might remember watching the live-action Batman show at Six Flag’s Great Adventure around 1989. It was a re-enactment of certain scenes from the movie, complete with a replica of the Batmobile (keyword: replica). The car you now see before you, is the real deal. One ambitious eBay seller is looking to get rid of one of the five actual Batmobiles from the Tim Burton classic for a cool $500,000 bucks that actually works, just not street-legal. Here’s what he had to say about some of the vehicle’s specs:

The car is 20 feet long and 8 feet wide. The chassis is custom built and the motor is a Chevrolet 350. To get in you have to be able to enter through the top where the canopy opens, just like in the movie.

Volvo’s Swedish Whip Wraps

Young Dro might have a car the same color as Ric Flair hair, but does he have one that actually looks like a zebra? How about one that’s covered in clouds? No? Q-Tires Would Do James Bond Proud

When Bond needed his Aston Martin Vanquish to stop dead on ice in Die Another Day, he simply flipped a “traction” switch and spikes came out of his tires to give him the help he needed. With this in mind, South Carolina-based Q-Tires has developed a new model called “Celsius” that actually features retractable studs.

Snow tires beware: with the all-purpose Celsius, all the driver needs to do when the weather gets icy is flip a switch in their car, which fills a secondary chamber within the tire, activating the studs. Nothing says “cashing in” like nervous white men in suits, and 50 Cent’s newest endorsement is about as hip-hop as it gets. At yesterday’s New York Auto Show press day, Complex watched as Pontiac announced that the music star turned condom salesman will be the hype-man for the new G8 line, including the El Camino-inspired G8 sport truck that does not yet have a name. Naim Sounds Off for Bentley

As if Bentley’s didn’t come stocked with enough options, the luxury car marker has partnered up with British audio specialists, Naim, to design a high end sound systems for their entire fleet. The special Digital Signal Processor unit offers an incredibly big sound without all the cracks, pops, and buzzes most amps pick up from engine noise. The Naim sound system utilizes over a dozen speakers and it powered by a chest thumping 1100 watt amplifier that’s controlled through Bentley’s navigation system. The mirror shaking sound system will be an option on all Bentleys and is set to thump later this year.
