Each year during the first week of December, the art/cool guy world descends on Miami to party its ass off look at cool art and the awesome world of Miami “fashion”. This year was no exception, and if you’re down there right now, we wish you the best. We got a little preview of some of the best stuff to check out, and between the new Audi A8, Kaws and KR at O.H.W.O.W. and some of the crazier baller stuff at Basel, this year did not disappoint. • Design Miami showcases limited edition design and art projects for sale and the presentation of the “Designer of the Year” (Marten Baas for 2009). Corporate sponsors commission art for the event, and a standout of the show was the newly unveiled Audi A8 at the company’s booth.

IT AIN’T FAIR/O.H.W.O.W.
• Aaron Bondaroff’s Miami gallery project, short for “Our House West of Wynwood” is a gallery and event space. This year’s show, It Ain’t Fair, showcases work by Jose Parla, REAS, and Kaws.

ART BASEL
• Art Basel is the show that started it all, the Miami outpost of the Swiss show that is held every June. This is where baller collectors come to get hopped up on champagne, buy Damien Hirst pieces, and see new works by art heroes.

F FACTORY
• F Factory is a popup art and retail space in the Miami Design District put together by Fendi which features retail pop up from brands like Maison Martin Margiela, Neon Monster, and others. It will be open until November 24th and is the first place to get that Micheal Stipe/Margiela necklace thingy.

SCOPE
• The Scope art fair features younger galleries and emerging artists, and is a great spot to get up on stuff you’ve seen once or twice, or not at all. It’s a good stop in and one of the better independent art fairs during the Miami Art Blitz. It’s open until Sunday.
