The 43rd Annual CMA Awards will air on ABC this Wednesday, though we’re sure you already knew that. A lotta people give country music a lotta shit, but its girls are definitely not to be clowned on. We’ll always have love for European exports and ambiguous mixed chicks, but there’s definitely something special about those grade-A, all-American, homegrown girls with crazy talent and a cute lil’ twang. Bonus points for the usual platinum blonde hair and big blue eyes (no Aryan-Nation).

Shania is a has-been don’t you know? The country music has became just like their rock counterparts. If they are more than 5 minutes into their career then they are over. Such a shame too, there are tons of talented artists who will never get another chance in the spotlight…
