Before her career jumped off, the young girl from Michigan immersed herself into NYC’s early ’80s downtown scene, which heavily informed her style. Here she is debuting her single “Everybody” at a club just after landing a record deal. As you can see, this was also the zenith of her stage show.

Love Madonna, she’s a cougar with bigger balls then most men I know! At 51 she’s still got it and breaking records and should be the envy of every female artist that came after her. She’s smart, in control and been on top of the world for the last 30 years. Plus she has more talent in 1 finger then Britney, Rihanna, GaGa or all her followers have in their entire bodies!

This article implies that Madonna was well-known in the 1970s. Madonna was not famous in the 1970s. She did not release her first (self-titled) album until around 1983, but didn’t get really famous until 1985’s “Like A Virgin” record.

I get what Vazquez is sayin. It’d be different if we were talking a “classy” lady here, but Madonna is the one who taught all the hoes how to be hoes, so please spare us the “experience” or the “lady” shit.
She’s the pop culture version of Heidi Fleiss.
There are other 50 year old women much more deserving of “wifey” status than this woman.

i totally agree. madonna deserve to be wifey of the month cuz she simply started a new era for all those pop tarts out there.
no1 has yet managed to acheive what shes achieved through all these years.
shes always been in control.. shes been the mind the heart and the boobs at the same time.
britney has only been a hot chick manipulated by basically anybody.. from her record company, to parents, to managers, to media..
madonna has been constant and practically changed the face of music for all sort of artists out there!!
