Every week in our Worldwide Wednesday post, Complex pays tribute to the cornucopia of women from around the globe. We try our best to represent all nationalities and ethnicities, but there’s one crucial group of women we haven’t focused on yet that everyone can agree on: multiracial women. Globalization never looked so good!
See, in the future, everyone will be multiracial. But for now, we’ll have to appreciate these pioneering dimes, who all have ancestors from multiple continents. Since one of our favorite chicks Cassie—who is African-American, Mexican, West Indian and Filipino—turns 23 today, we thought it would be a fitting time to pay tribute to this often-overlooked sub-set of sexy. ETHNICITY: African-American, Norwegian, Puerto Rican, Cuban and Indian.
CLAIM TO FAME: The green eyed video model shot to fame after her feature in Petey Pablo’s “Freek-A-Leek” video back in 2004. She was also featured in Ludacris’s “Number One Spot,” Nelly’s “Shake Ya Tailfeather” and Kanye West’s “The New Workout Plan.” Then all of a sudden she decided to get all serious on us and retired in 2007 at the age of 22 to attend college and (we assume) prepare for her recent Complex 7 Interview.

True, they identified nationalities. But many of those nationalities are also classified in different races, making them multiracial.

For some reason, I don’t think Esther Baxter is mixed. I know most Black folks are mixed by definition. But Esther’s parents are probably both straight up Black. Some people claim mixed heritage because they think it makes them look more sexy and exotic. This is insulting because if you are a mixed person for real, like me; it’s not all fun and games and sex appeal in being a multiracial person. Mixed people are marginalized in American society. But I’m a step off my soapbox.
However, there are alot of very sexy girls on this list. But Y’all are slipping because you left out Alicia Keys! She shoulda been in the top 3!

Yeah, you need to look up was race really means. Trinidadian isn’t so much a race more so a nationaolity/culture. West Indian is comprised of so much, there are pretty much no traces of the Original “west indians” Caribs and Arawaks in the Caribbean. Sorry for the history lesson but I’m Caribbean but Trinidad is just the place where parts of the family settled, they island hopped until settling.
