LMFAO! There’s plenty of shit to laugh about Redfoo and Sky Blu, the two dudes who make up the group LMFAO, not least of which is the stories they’ve got to tell. With their hit, “I’m in Miami Bitch,” remixes of Yeezy’s “Love Lockdown” and Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold,” and new album Party Rock (in stores today…click here to buy it on MP3 for $7.99), LMFAO is laughing straight (hopefully) to the bank.

The duo got their start in Hollywood, but it was a trip to Miami that inspired the simple phrase that became a MySpace anthem—and thus, LMFAO was born. The group is further promoting its outlandish style with the recent launch of its own line of LMFAO clothes. When Redfoo and Sky Blu stopped by for another round of The Complex 7, we were left…well, you know…

Interview By Jaime Acevedo

 #1: WHAT’S THE NUMBER ONE DEAL-BREAKER FOR A POTENTIAL GIRLFRIEND?

Redfoo says: One is a very serious answer: white lies. The small, little lies will drive me insane, and once I figure out that they, they’re not real to me. The non-serious one is no booty. I could tell you even better. No rhythm. That could just be my final answer. I could never have a girlfriend that was offbeat. That’s a quote. I don’t even want to be your friend if you’re offbeat.

Sky Blu says: I got two. A serious one: jealousy. I can’t deal with it, cause I’m a sharing person in my life, you know what I mean? Another thing is the hygiene. It’s big, cause if your breath stinks, and your drawers are not kept, that’s probably the biggest.

 #2: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SNEAKER OF ALL TIME?

Sky Blu says: Chuck Taylors. Got to be.

Redfoo says: Probably have to say Vans. It’s the first shoe I ever fell in love with as a kid. Grew up in a beach community and I’ve never worn anything but Vans for the past two years.

 #3: WHEN’S THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?

Sky Blu says: He dropped a tear last night.

Redfoo says: Well, I was throwing up. [laughs]. She moved with me, and I was sitting there, I had just bought the first shirt press and I was pressing up shirts. And she goes…oh this is great, she goes, “I’m not having fun here.” And I said, “Well, I don’t know, what you want to do? You want to move back?” And she’s like, “Yeah, I’m thinking about moving back,” so I said, “Fine, girl…move back.” I went into the bathroom to take a shower and just started crying, man! [Pretends to cry.]

Sky Blu says: The last time I cried was probably with a girl. I broke up with my girlfriend. It was just one of those big decisions where you choose this over here or your life dream of music. We have a song called “Leaving You For The Groove” and that’s kind of the feeling I felt.

 #4: IF YOU HAD A WEEK HOLIDAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Redfoo says: This whole LFMAO, Party Rock thing that we’re doing is the answer to that question. If money isn’t an object, what would you be doing for a week and this is what it is. Even doing this interview is.

Sky Blu says: That week is forever for us.

 #5: WHAT HAS GOT TO BE IN YOUR FRIDGE AT ALL TIMES?

Sky Blu says: Hot sauce. It would have to be habanero. Widow maker hot sauce, and some Goose.

Redfoo says: Ice cold brewski…no, what has to be in my fridge is tofu.

Sky Blu says: This guy’s been a vegetarian for five years and last month he’s been eating steak and chicken. And now he’s with a girl, looking like a straight-up panda bear. Now he wants to be a vegetarian.

 #6: WHAT’S THE WORST WAY YOU’VE BROKEN UP WITH SOMEONE?

Redfoo says: It comes to the point where someone’s in love with you and they’ve done their white lies, they’re offbeat, and you’re supposed to break up with them. But they live in your house and they’re dependent on you. But I met this girl, Anna from Philly and I fell in love with her on the phone and the Internet. She had everything the other girl didn’t have. So I remember her saying, “Well, what do you want me to do with the keys?” I told her to give ‘em to Anna, and it was such a bad thing but it wasn’t bad to me because she deserved that.

Sky Blu says: I’ve only had two girlfriends. This girl thinks I’m her man, so I just stopped talking to her out of nowhere.

 #7: WHAT’S THE MOST EMBARRASSING PIECE OF CLOTHING YOU’VE EVER WORN?

Sky Blu says: I’m not embarrassed if I wear something, I wear it with pride. One, I was at school and they had a celebrity look-alike day, [laughs] and Prince came to mind. I wore tight purple pants, my mom’s blouse, with my little hairy chest popping out. I had a little sash on my head, and I drew the Prince symbol on my cheek. I wore some high heels and I’m thinking it’s funny. I get to school and nobody is dressed up as shit. I’m the only one at lunch, getting my pizza, hearing the heels clicking, and it was just so terrible.

Redfoo says: I bought these tight pants that were purple and black stripes. I’m not a big stripe fan, I need something zig-zaggy, and purple is my favorite color. I didn’t know our manager was going to bring us to Harlem. To a barbershop. I had to walk in like I was inventing some new shit.
