As a UO grad, I love some of the uniforms—and think that others would have been better left in the shipping crates. But overall, how many sports programs get heavy, unending national coverage for what the teams wear? Believe me, that translates into national recruiting power and national poll and scheduling attention—not to mention that Oregon gets to try out the latest hi-tech materials and designs from Nike before anyone else. (Not always a success; see the electric yellow pic above.)

Mainly, I think it’s great that UO is DIFFERENT! I mean, who wants to look like everyone else? Or, for that matter, have a team name that 47 other teams also have? Go Ducks! Go Horned Frogs! Go Banana Slugs!

The mascot is a Disney knockoff, leased from Disney Corp. Can you imagine it being black? I don’t think so. Donald and Daisy would croak.

Fo sho the unis this year i feel aren’t as hot as last year i was expectin a lil bit more but they still rock( i tottally agree) the yellow helmet would be fya!!

I just love the different combinations that can be put together from this group of new uniforms. I still think that they should have a yellow helmet. Way to be different and funky at the same time. I wish a lot of other schools will take the steps to be just a little different.

Dark Forest Green looks black, especially in the shade. However in the sunlight there is a tint of green that becomes more apparent.

Could you imagine the Eagles in the Oregon Ducks white road jerseys or green homes for 2009? That’d be ill… Thumbs up for pushing the envelope. But I’m a FSU\Texas Tech fan all the way… Down with USC! And down with the Gators!

The new “steel” unis are not all silver and white either. The outline of the # is green. So there you go, don’t hate, it’s still got a little Oregon aspect to it

Amazing how the ever envious rodents continue to murder the english language on our duck feeds. Our fans continue to support our program with season ticket sales that would overflow that leaky, potato salad bowl they call a stadium. Yet, they still can’t sell out the burrito without giving tickets away last minute to friends & family of their grazing cheerleaders, 4H friends or that guy who walks around with the super secret color-shade swatches of orange and black in his scooby doo lunch pale…oh and his body guards. Higher education at work! GO DUCKS…GO SOONERS!!!

i promise you the 2000 holiday bowl uniforms were NOT black.. They looked that way on tv and in some pictures. It really was a dark green

Chris is exactly right Sooners. The Joey Harrington era uni’s are not black. It’s a very dark shade of green that looks black from a distance. These jerseys are sick…you lames just gotta deal with it.

osu rocks. except when getting blown out by non confrence teams on national television and choking for a birth in the rosebowl by giving up 65 points and 700 yrads of offesne to oregon. vaunted run defense my ass!
