Battle of the Bad Suits: Don Cherry vs. Craig Sager
Crosby vs. Ovechkin is over and Kobe vs. LeBron may never happen, but the real competition is taking place in the studios of CBC and TNT, the network homes of the NHL and NBA, respectively. With both leagues heading toward their final rounds, time is running out to fully contemplate the godawful suits worn by CBC hockey personality Don Cherry (pictured above on the left) and TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager (seen above on the right). We’ve seen less flamboyant get-ups at pimp conventions, my dudes.
Both commentators use sartorial tackiness as their shtick, but whose suits are more offensive? Before they take off for the summer, take a look at our five-round battle and cast your vote below…

Don Cherry has suits so tacky, he makes Craig Sager look like a hobo.
(Cherry kills it for two reasons: 1- prints; 2- if he and Sager both wore the same suits and they were normal colors/textures/sans prints, Cherry’s suits would still be epic and Sager would look like a used car salesman)

Just a clarification. Sager’s clothes look cheap, off-the-rack and crazy! Don Cherry actually has every jacket hand-tailored with tie to match; and, notice the old-time starched, stand-up collars on the white shirts.

Don Cherry hands down, his are all custom tailored specifically for him. But he does shamelessly pull it off.

Don is bent, not hurt, and he has the panache to wear the outrageous suits made by a curtain company…. The other dude looks like he slept in his suit that his mother sewed for high school graduation. not familiar with him, but he looks short on personality as well….

I think it is Don, hands down, Sager is a poser.
I am wondering though if Don should lose on a technicality, it looks like rounds 1 and 4 or are the same jacket!!

Sager wears those suits thinking it’s 1978 and he’s looking fly. Cherry wears those suits knowing they look rediculous, just for the effect.

Don Cherry is a shockjock and his comments are often more outrageous than his threads. Sager would be invisible without the threads.

I have to say Cherry has the worst suits, but Sager’s ties deserve at least a mention. I mean come on, a snowman ON YOUR TIE at Christmas? Deserves at least a mention!!

First off, you need two guys wearing suits to have a “worst suit” contest. Sager is wearing sports jackets and slacks. (Usually badly, I might add, although combo #3 is decent.)
Second, Don Cherry has no place being in a “worst suit” contest. His outfits look like a million bucks – impeccably tailored suits, classy shirts, very nice ties, usually with a good dimple too. Crazy patterns, yes, and I wouldn’t wear them to the office, but not bad suits. Sager just looks like he just got back from $5 fill-a-bag days at the Goodwill.

Cerry is pimpish but he’s wearing the suits not the other way around. Craige is just hurt
