Caught On Tape! The Greatest Fan Assaults in Sports History

assault_cantona
The NBA Playoffs are in full swing, and the part of our weekend when we weren’t constructing elaborate Cassie-Rihanna threesome configurations was spent watching basketball. LeBron’s got things under control, the Lakers look like they’ll have their hands full with the Yao-less Rockets, and (you heard it here first) the Nuggets are well on their way to their first Finals appearance. But the biggest news from yesterday was the Celtics and Glen “Big Baby” Davis who a) sunk the winning shot of Game 4 against the Magic and b) pushed some little kid on his way to celebrating said bucket.

The 24-7 sports commentariat is abuzz (prolly atwitter, too) about the push, with some folks calling Big Baby’s move “assault.” You call that a fan assault? No, we’ll show you fan assaults—5 of history’s greatest, in fact…

#5. ERIC CANTONA VS. CRYSTAL PALACE FAN, 1995

#4. KELLEN HUSTON VS. UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI FAN, 2003

#3. BOSTON BRUINS VS. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, 1970S

#2. ROB RAY VS. QUEBEC NORDIQUES FAN, 1992

#1. THE “MALICE IN THE PALACE”
