The man of many designs has struck again: Kanye West officially unveiled his Louis Vuitton sneakers to the blogosphere yesterday, sending the beasts into a frenzy. The low-top, one-toned colorways are inspired by the movie Dune, mimicking a jacket that features a large collar that appears in the sci-fi classic.
Sure, people are psyched on the Louis' that 'Ye just showed, but don’t forget that the Air Yeezys will drop months before the LV joints ever touch concrete. I gotta go with the LV on this one. I mean the Yeezy’s are wack as fuck to me. They are WAY to bulky to be coming out in 2009. I wouldn’t go for the red LV’s either. Im a bit disappointed in both honestly, but the LV’s (aka The Don’s) are better IMO.

Yeezy needs to talk to Jeezy on this one, there’s a motherfucking recession out there and to ask between $200 – $400 for a pair of lame ass sneakers is too much. Plus his rap game is also in a recession! By proxy his money game gonna suffer. Gotta say his production game is tighter than a virgin.. But he is only as hot as his last album, how much that sell? The LVs are way flyer. I’m not a fan of too muuch LV shit but that sneaker is classic. Something fly for the summer and spring. If your going to have a dope high end sneaker it should look like that. Its air force one ish but much sleaker, has simple colorways (none of that corny multi bright colored gay shit you guys seem to like), and it would fire with a simple pair of plaid shorts, black t, and sunglasses. The LVs are simple and crack. The Air Yeezys are not my style. Weird ass multi shaded colorways with that played out Air Force one build and its way too high top. The LVs hands down. I’m surprised.

I agreee with your sentiment that these shoes are way overpriced – who the f-ck got $ like that in this economy, but as far his album goes, it is actually selling. It’s already platinum-plus and still doing about 30-40K week with no sign of serious slwoing down. So as much as I don’t love it, I gotta concede that his rap game is far from being in a recession and people are getting it!!

the LV’s would win hands down if when they come in a softer beige or deep brown or black. definitely rockable casual or to the night club.
while i still think the yeezys are fresh, they kinda just look like a lebron 2.5 or just a nike force bball kick. not nearly as versatile.
