Retail Spotlight: Suite Sole, S.C.

When former Stuff magazine fashion editor Gustavo Serrano and his stylist wife Andrea relocated from Brooklyn to Charleston, South Carolina, they set out to provide Chucktown with big-city-style shopping options. So after the success of their clothing shop B’ZAR, the duo opened sneaker spot Suite Sole in September.

The store, whose unique decor is inspired by the couple’s stays at hotels around the world, is the exclusive retailer for Alife, Clae, Nike Energy, The Hundreds and Schmoove in South Carolina. Says Gustavo: “We made sure to bring the city of Charleston all of the brands they like, the brands they should know about, and design a store that is what people are not used to seeing down south.” This month, look for Suite Sole to debut Nike’s new ACG Wildwood and Air Structure Triax.
