Werdplay “Big Wheel”

Last year we were introduced to BlesteNation, a rock-influenced rap group consisting of Various, Werdplay, and DJ Fafu. Since then, they dropped a series of mixtapes together, and Werd’s been busy prepping his solo debut, Ryantology. Known for his intense stage presence with Bleste, Werdplay also shared the spotlight with the Cool Kids last year at New York’s SOB’s. That relationship has now resulted in Chuck Inglish producing “Big Wheel” and one other track from the album. Other noteable guests will be Mic Geronimo, Page Hamilton of Helmet, and of course his Bleste fam. Here’s what Werdplay had to say about his expectations for his solo opus:

“You know how when you’re crying hysterically on a friend’s shoulder about some real foul shit that happened in your life and they say something that makes you laugh in the middle of it? And wipe your snotty nose with your sleeve and you get that lump in your throat? Well that’s what I expect this record to do to people'it’s my reality. I feel as though people can relate to my sometimes demented outlook on life.”
