The Most Bizarre Campaign Ads

POLITICIAN: The Republican National Committee
AD: “Harold Ford. He’s Just Not Right.”
PLOT: In trying to discredit the young charismatic (oh, and black) Tennessee senate candidate, the RNC rounded up people to smear Ford, including a white woman who says she met him at a Playboy Party. Race-baiting: it’s not just still totally for Republicans.

POLITICIAN: Roger Wicker (Republican candidate for Senator of Mississippi)
AD: “Who is Buying Ronnie Musgrove?”
PLOT: Apparently, Ronnie Musgrove has a fan club that includes the Village People and a cow. Count us in, Musgrove!
—————————————————————————————————————

POLITICIAN: Bob Flider (Illinois congressional candidate)
AD: “Impersonator”
PLOT: He attacks opponent Scot England of…being a Weird Al impersonator? If that’s a crime, shouldn’t Gallagher be in jail? Wait, he actually might be.

—————————————————————————————————————

POLITICIAN: Mike Gravel (short-lived presidential candidate)
AD: “Rock”
PLOT: Mike Gravel stares at the screen for 71 seconds, then goes and picks up a big rock and tosses it in a pond. Then walks away. For another 80 seconds. Don’t think it sounds better than a DJ Khaled YouTube? Think again.
