MindRite Uses Lil Wayne & Kanye To Sell Shirts6:34 pm | Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Furthering the belief that maybe streetwear really isn't that cool, MindRite might have set cool-guy t-shirt aficionados back a few years with this Lil Wayne “I Got Cake” tee, a homage to the lyrics from Weezy’s “Shine” song.

It's bad enough that anyone would think putting a half-assed illustration of Weezy on a shirt is a good look, but charging $32 for it? FUCK OUTTA HERE. After the jump, check out the brand's most out-of-the-box design to date, a shutter-shaded Kanye West Unibomber take off…

LOL at Complex puttin them on blast.
Now theres nothing wrong with Wayne but that shirt is mad homo with him having his shirt off and all, plus that shirt is a rip off of another shirt I seen. That Kanye shirt is kinda plain tho Ive seen better concepts else where. LOL at the $32 price tag thats almost as much as a decent pair of Levis 501’s…….

Lil Wayne doesn’t deserve to be on the front of a shirt like that. He should have to be murked like Pac or Biggie first. Wayne is ugly as sin and his music is mad overrated. If you grew up in the 90’s listening to real Hip Hop, you know 90% of his music is garbage. I’d rather bump the Mobb Deep Infamous album, Raekwon Only Built for Cuban Linx or Nas Illmatic instead of any shitty commercial Lil Wayne Carter Album.

yo, those tees are dope. i’m guessing you’d prefer to see a shirt that says some variation of “random nostalgic hip-hop related text&random nostalgic hip-hop related text&random nostalgic hip-hop related text”

at least the creative behind mindrite cleverly depicted a weezy line from a time when nobody outside the south gave a fuck about him, and only true cash money fans would remember.

i’m coppin one, and i’ll send all you haterz a pic of ur wifeys domin me out in it

      SWALLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

MindRite came up with the concepts, which I didn’t care for but whatever, I just designed what they asked for.

That been said, fuck you for saying it’s a half-assed illustration, I’d like to see you do better, bitch. :D
