It’s been about six months since the amazing twosome of Jahmal Tonge and Neil White dropped their EP Waves and Shambles. They did a track called “Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames” with the Cool Kids, so why haven’t we heard more about these guys? Is it because they’re Canadian? Nah, can’t be. They came from the niche world of Afro-Punk, where black kids doing punk rock is an everyday thing, as is the act of playing drums and singing simultaneously. Yeah, Jahmal does that, and did a damn good job at it during their set at 205 Club last week. We’re believers, you should be too.
