We can’t honestly say we were surprised at the news that current Complex cover girl Aubrey O’Day was kicked out of Danity Kane'it was a well-known rumor for weeks, but was only “officially” announced when the Making The Band 4 finale aired live on Tuesday night. Good for you, Aubrey. You don’t need them the way they need you.
We were all set to leave the story alone when we found out that Dawn “Miss Salty” Richard and US Weekly are apparently throwing some subliminal darts our way, implying that it was Aubrey’s super-sexy Complex cover that led to her dismissal. “We can’t do [a shoot for Dollhouse Teen] one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover,” said Miss Salty. Excuse me? Was you sayin’ somethin’??? We begs to differ, ma, and the facts bear us out.

SEPT. 14: This is the ACTUAL DATE that Diddy boots Aubrey out of Danity Kane in a taping of Making The Band 4.
SEPT. 14: Aubrey is so devastated by the news that later that day she attends the Baby Phat fashion show and an US Weekly party in NYC. (Note the same dress.) Rumors about a DK break-up are already spreading.
SEPT. 17: We leak our Aubrey cover. Internet goes nuts.
OCT. 7: Penultimate Making The Band 4 airs. At the end of the episode'which was taped on SEPT. 14'Diddy tells Aubrey to walk.
OCT. 14: Making The Band 4 finale airs, including live interviews with Danity Kane members and Diddy. Aubrey makes an impassioned defense of her actions, crowd applauds. Dawn, a.k.a. “Miss Salty,” simmers in the background.
OCT. 15: Miss Salty talks to US Weekly, suggesting that our “obnoxious cover” had something to do with Aubrey’s dismissal. Come again???

Aubrey has and always will be my favorite DK member… Diddy just wants everyone to do as he says and fear him. He wanted Dwoods to fear him too but when she didnt back down he kicked her off but he realized he made a mistake and now he tryin to back step. Aubrey is a wild fun loving person and some members (DAWN) were mad that she had the spotlight. DK is nothing without the two that got kicked off… I always thought Aubrey had too much personality to be in a group anyway. Hope shes a solo artist. I’d but her album…at least shes real ass bitch and not a…. dawn

Aubrey deserved everything that has come her way. Every season she gets more and more egotistic. All the girls are humble, except for Aubrey and D. Woods. I never thought that D.Woods would be follower, but she was Aubrey’s beck and call this season. Don’t blame Dawn for speaking the truth, sometimes the truth hurts. But Diddy is right, it’s business, Audrey’s attitude was getting worst, she forgets that this is Diddy’s label, too full of herself. Jealousy is not good for any business, home, among friends, etc. it can break up a happy home. Noone was jealous but Aubrey, and who is she that Diddy has to inform her or anyone when he wants to use someone on his album. Get a grip, your not Beyonce or Rihanna. Word of advice Aubrey, “never forget where you came from, humbleness gets you far”.

Please don’t be stupid on this site. You only gave the date that you leaked the cover NOT when the photo shoot actually took place. Please be a little more clever. Cover leaked on sept 17 so the actually photo shoot was more than likely before Sept 14 when Diddy kicked her out.

FYI, editorial policy at most magazines dictates that neither subject or label are privy to seeing photos before they run. Therefore, it is impossible that the photos featured in Complex could have influenced Diddy in his decision.

Learn this, “Diddy runs the city”, do you hear about it? If someone is well-informed in show-biz, diddy is one of them. Get it, diddy had the tips about that cover before it’d be leak. You have many people(stylist, photogs etc.) working with you, do you know their feelings, or their idols, or their private relationships? One mouth to another mouth, and so on, diddy can get information BUT he didnt see the photos.
That cover was the last “wrong” for her to do because diddy always talk about her image, that he thinks isnt good for danity kane.
About aubry influences on dk? sure she attracts all people who want to see slut dancing, but myself I liked her for her fun life at the begining, but i dont like her image todays, her life is all over the net for bad reasons. She wants always get attention using any bad means. Diddy is right, she is not the same or more more trash. BUT I like her for her fun only.

I think aubrey deserves what she gots. At first I didn’t understand why he was being so mean to her. But now that I search the internet and seen her making out with a woman. An the pictures she did with ya’ll magazine makes her look like a slut and I understand now why DIDDY says she making the band look bad. I like DAWN she’s one of the realest people in the group. I think AUBREY just got the big head instead of appreciating the blessing that she got.

If you “leaked” your cover 3 days after she was kicked out, then the shoot probably did happen before she was kicked out.
Plus, she’s had plenty of “obnoxious” photo-shoots.
She just isn’t the look that the DK brand was going for–neither is she a great vocalist, and clearly Diddy had problems working with her. Since he’s the boss…*poof* She’s gone.
