The Most Racist Moments Of The 2008 Presidential Race

claytonformccain2.jpg
Okay, so check this out—apparently America’s wild racist. Yeah, get this: a half-black dude is running for president (ya mighta missed this ‘Plexers, ’cause it’s non-sneaker related news) and it’s looking like he might actually win, too. So, of course, a really ignorant faction of our nation has been going absolutely apeshit as a result. It’s been all over the boob-tube of late, ’cause the pundits and anchors are, like, totally shocked to discover that there’s this much overt hate in this fine land of ours….Clearly, they don’t get out much.

That said, those of us who’ve been following this contest closely have peeped the pervasive theme of racism from jumpstreet. Of course Obama is the target of most of the insensitivity, but what’s interesting is that both Democrats and Republicans, “liberal” media and FOX News, all manage to put their foot in their mouths.

From subtle race-based slights to an ignorant halfwit at a McCain rally holding an Obama monkey, this election has pulled up the skirt of American political correctness. Frankly, Complex thought guys like that went the way of BetaMax, HD DVD, and women that don’t give head—but apparently, nope. In the, er, race to the bottom we’re, um, exceptional..ist..ers (S dot Pal, we got you Ma). In any case, since we’re anticipating even mo’ racism as the election approaches, catch up with our complete round-up, analysis, and rating of all the incendiary moments this presidential race has inspired thus far…

INCIDENT: Joe Biden calls Obama “Articulate, clean.”
DATE: Feb 2007

RACISM FACTOR:
bigsbyrating_4.jpg

Wow, say it ain’t so, Joe. Yezzur, Mr. Biden, Obama’s right-hand man, got an early jump on racists everywhere by talking about Obama’s Cinderella story, and how it was going to be tough to beat, particularly because Obama was so “clean” and “articulate.” Biden later dug himself out the hole the liberal “gotchya” media placed him in simply by explaining that, “Some of his best friends are black, though not articulate or clean, so c’mon, guys, cut me some slack.”

  4. isnt the fact that most of black america is going to vote for obama simply because hes black the most racist part. that also goes for the white chunk of america who wont vote for him for the same reason

Interesting point, but doesn’t an overwhelming majority of the African American vote go to whatever Democrat is running in any case?

  7. I would say that my mandingo-like lust for Palin should be added on to this list of racist moments inspired by the campaign.

You are A FUCKING MORON. Robert Kennedy is JFK’s brother and was the presumptive nominee of the Democratic party. He was assassinated. You should go kill yourself, you fucking stupid piece of shit.

  12. You suck:

They do have American history books in Canada, eh? Go open one, you dummy. RFK was the brother of JFK. He, too, was murdered. It happened in June 5th of ‘68, when he was running for president. Hilary was talking about that, not JFK, who was actually president when he got killed.

    Thanks for your support.

  17. Look at what happened to South Africa after the apartheid government was thrown out, their capital became the rape capital of the world, stunning leadership. Now the rest of the US is going to look like Detroit, the problem isn’t necessarily Obama or blacks, although they won’t help, the problem is how uppity the niggers are going to be once they get a black president.

  19. m.long - AFAIK Blacks didn’t start voting for Obama in big numbers until he proved that they had more than the colour of his skin in common. Hillary Clinton was getting much of the black vote in early polling because she (and Bill) were well known and respected. So that shows that Obama’s policies got through and were supported. In the same way, women won’t vote for Palin just because she has ladies’ bits.
BMJC - South Africa was a very violent place during the apartheid era. Pretoria (the capital) and Johannesburg were safe if you were in the elite but the country had almost as much gun crime as the USA. The _second_ most important thing that happened with majority rule was the “Truth and Reconciliation Commission”. The TRC was quite successful in revealing the truth of atrocities committed by both sides. “5392 people were refused amnesty and 849 were granted amnesty, out of 7112 petitioners (there were a number of additional categories, such as withdrawn). [wikipedia]”

I can see Obama’s mindset as more truth and reconciliation and less like the king of the looters in a chaotic dystopia.

BTW “Paint the White House Black” was a song from George Clinton; and member of Artists United Against Apartheid, strangely enough. I think it was a comment about “Chocolate City” Washington D.C. and like most things from the crazy hairdresser intended to be funny and thought-provoking. So I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
