If you’re old enough to remember what New York club rap was like back in the late ’90s, it was actually danceable (no Soulja Boy). Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life,” which was a mainstay at most venues, inspired DJ Clue’s full-time-jack-move featuring Mary J. Blige and Jadakiss. So now that J.R. Rotem resurrected the ’90s classic for Maino’s new single, making the instruments bigger and brighter, it seems like we might finally see his album drop before the end of the year.
