Hyundai Genesis Launches In Korea

hyundai-genesis-coupe_480_edit.jpg
Ever since Hyundai unveiled their upcoming Genesis Coupe at the 2008 New York Auto Show by having two stunt drivers do a bunch of burnouts, we’ve been patiently waiting for them to hit US press fleets so we can thrash ‘em around. And while that day is still months and months away, Hyundai officially launched the Coupe in their homeland of Korea today and dropped a new commercial to whet our stateside appetites.

If you didn’t know, the Genesis Coupe is Hyundai’s answer to all the luxury performance coupes. As Hyundai’s most performance minded vehicle ever, the rear wheel drive coupe will roll off the lot with either the all-aluminum 310 horsepower 3.8-liter V6 Lambda RS engine or, if you’re trying to save at the pump, a 210 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine—both of which should offer a real nice (and cheaper) alternative over the 330hp Infiniti G37 or the 300hp BMW 335i. Be sure to check for a Genesis Coupe review as soon as they hit the states this spring. But for now, check out some photos and the new commercial below…
