Complex: Why did you open Outnumber? What separates it from other online retailers?
Sang: I spent a long time working at two major streetwear stores and felt it was time to execute my own project. I wanted to create a site that would relate to a broad spectrum of guys in today’s market. We try not to corner our style into the “NYC/LA downtown street” look, but also incorporate skate and contemporary brands that other Joes may identify with. We make it a point to educate our consumers with brands, designs, and trends that are popular in our culture and consequently affect the men’s fashion scene. Also some guys just don’t know what looks good with what, so we hope to give them subtle pointers without turning them into the dude who is too thought-out in his gear. Less is more.

Complex: What’s your current favorite item in your inventory?
Sang: My favorite item is the ADDICT X SYD MEAD ORGANIK JACKET. It has an iPod pocket and the design is clean and it is 100% waterproof.
