Maserati Reveals Their GranTurismo MC Corse

When people think of Maserati these days, their wildly popular 400hp super sedan, the Quattroporte, usually comes to mind. But before Maserati became the new IT ride for rappers and the dudes on “Entourage,” they were known for hard core sport cars with a strong auto racing heritage. Not looking to let that heritage be forgotten, the other car company based in Modena, Italy released info and photos of their latest sports car, the Gran Turismo MC Corse Concept.

Intended for track use, the Corse Concept is based on the 430hp GranTurismo S model. Weight was shaved (the interior was gutted) and the engine was completely remapped to add an extra 20 horses to the mix, bringing total power to 450hp. To cool down this beast, there’s an air inlet and two extra air vents on the hood. To make sure it handles with all that new power, the suspension and brakes were upgraded and the chassis was stiffened. There’s also a FIA approved roll cage to make it official. As the MC Corse is intended for competition you probably won’t see any of these on the road unless your crib overlooks the Nürburgring. Check out more photos below…
