Another Ferarri Concept: The Enzo Motorcycle

We know it’s every designer and engineer’s wet dream to design for Ferrari, but damn. It seems like every couple months some random engineer or designer pops up with their take on what the Modena based super car company should be building next. And it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Today we came across yet another independently designed concept, this time in the form of a motorcycle.
The proposed Ferrari superbike was conceived by Israeli designer Amir Glinik, who centered his concept around the idea of chopping the heralded V12 Ferrari Enzo down to four cylinders. The futuristic frame is made out of aluminum to keep weight down with traditional tubing in the front to support the battery and the oil tank. The rider can manage the engine with a system based on the Ferrari engine management computer with a modified all weather touch screen for easy use. The bike is controlled by hand controls influenced by the throttle controls of F16 fighter jets. There’s no chance this will ever come out, but we can add it to the list of concepts Ferrari should invest in. See more photos of Glinik’s concept below.

Looks like one of those little worm thingys that we dissected a long time ago in high school biology class. Also noting the extreme lack of any kind of suspension or shock absorption this thing would be a nightmare to ride on anything but a perfectly smooth surface. I can just see someone hitting a small bump or small pothole at speed, it would be a disaster. Also, nobody needs brakes like that on the rear wheel, there simply is no point, engaging a braking system like that would most likely lock the rear wheel up causing a loss of control that is not easily corrected. Aerodynamically speaking the bike looks fine until you put a rider on it, I don’t know about any of you but I have ridden a bike going 180MPH and it is hard enough to hold on to when you do have a little bit of protection afforded by that tiny windscreen you see on crotch-rockets. This thing looks like it would use you as an air-brake. Also on the aerodynamics part, I’m sure those side scoops offer unbelievable cooling for the entire internals of the bike but they aren’t jet intakes, they will slow the bike down and make it less maneuverable at high speeds. I would also like to see this bike ever make a hairpin turn on a track, I doubt it would do it, the wheelbase looks far too long although I obviously do not have the specs for the bike I just seriously doubt this thing could compete with the rockets of today. It looks nice in pictures but in reality this bike would be disastrous. Just my 2 cents from someone who has actually ridden a rocket.
