Remembering Yankee Stadium’s Funniest Moments

If you live under a rock (or just don’t follow baseball), we’ve got news for you: Yankee Stadium is closing this weekend. We’ve got a few Yankee fans on staff (although they’ve been strangely quiet recently), and they’ll probably remember the place as the site of father-son outings or some such cheesy shit.
For the rest of us though, the Stadium was just a place to get drunk on $10 beers and, even better, watch troglodytes (Yankee and Red Sox fans alike) get really drunk on $10 beers and do incredibly dumb shit. In honor of said cavemen, we present the 5 funniest YouTube moments in the history of ‘The House That Ruth Built’…
1. “WHO THE F#$% DO YOU THINK YOU’RE FIGHTIN’?”
What’s better than chicks who like sports? Chicks that fight cops! We have no idea what this lady did to get kicked out of the game, but we certainly admire her “no justice, no peace” stance on stadium security.
2. AND NOW YOU’RE DOWN THERE
It’s not really clear why the fat man at the beginning of this clip is splayed across a couple seats with his shirt half off. Our guess? He got flipped the fuck over the railing like the dude at the 0:10 mark.
3. NO, I INSIST, TAKE MY BEER
This clip starts innocently enough, with a Red Sox fan in a Pedro #45 getting escorted down the steps for some unknown offense. Then some Yank fans start throwing beer on him. Then some damn fool a section away decides to chuck his beer at a totally unrelated Boston fan. These are $10 beers people!
4. AND HE MIGHT GO ALL THE WAY!
Some (probably) drunk fan eludes cops and security for 30 seconds, losing his flannel and tagging 2nd base on the way. Don’t the Jets need a running back?
5. “HIT THE HOOKER!”
A bird’s eye view of clip #1. Paging Martin Scorsese!

You realize that 1 & 5 are the same incident, no? Can’t wait to watch Yankee stadium be destroyed – you know, like the Yankee’s playoff hopes about a month ago…

Like they need a new stadium. The stadium was a face of the franchise.
