Meet Universal’s Newest Songstress Shontelle
Complex: What was your take on fashion week?
Shontelle: Fashion week was good. I had a real busy fashion week cause I went to the Baby Phat show (that was huge as always), Russell Simmons' Argyle Collection'that was real good, especially because the guys were really hot.
Complex: That's one I've yet to hear about. Wherever women are, that's all I've heard.
Shontelle: I mean the clothes were good. Sometimes I go to the male shows and l wish I was a dude so I could wear this stuff. But, then I got to live out my secret fantasy cause I performed at the Elle/Caravan show. I also got to walk the runway in three outfits.
Complex: Nice. Can you explain the show a little more?
[Publicist responds]: It was promoted by Tide Total. It was part of the Metropolitan Opening Tent.
Complex: Tide?
[Publicist] Tide Seven talks about fashion and ways to take care of your clothes.
Complex: Oh, Tide! As in laundry…
Shontelle: Yeah. T-Shirt! I like Tide.
Complex: Oh you're not a Whisk person?
Shontelle: No. I…
Complex: You better like Tide [laughs].
Shontelle: Yeah, I told the Tide guy, if you come to my house, I have one of those big jumbo ones with the dispenser thing'not just the bottle, the huge one.
Complex: So Tide's running the show.
Shontelle: Yeah, that was fun.
Complex: This was fun.
