5 Sports Injuries That Made Us Smile

José Canseco
In 1993, during a blowout loss to the Boston Red Sox, the steroidal Texas Rangers outfielder asked his manager to let him pitch the eighth inning. He promptly injured his arm and had to undergo Tommy John surgery, causing him to miss the rest of the season. Steroids clearly just made him a BIGGER prick.

This is just pathetic. To treat career ending injuries this way is horrible, even if it is a rivals team.
I mean Tom Brady has done so much wrong that he obviously deserves this?
(I am a Bears fan)

I personally laughed my ass off when Bo Jackson’s career ended because of his hip. What a wuss! My hip broke, I am an old man, haha! Check out my write up about it on

Have you ever seen a Patriots fan with such lack of class I doubt it. Regardless of who Brady plays with to see someone that brings so much to the game get taken out on a cheap hit like that is horrible. As a patriots fan I would feel the same way if Manning (the good one Peyton) was in the same situation.

^^^^ I’m glad he specified Peyton, because nobody outside the manning family would shed a tear if Eli blew out his knee

LMAO, just another spineless loser who was picked on in high school. What’s the matter, did you spend all night masturbating to the girl of your dreams who wouldn’t talk to you while the QB of the football team was nailing her? Or better yet, your girlfriend was double teamed by the QB and RB, and the way you found out was from cell phone pictures sent to you.
Just nothing more than another hater, bitter about his own lot in life taking pleasure off the misery of others. People like this expose their own insecurities about their own masculinity. Hey, it’s not Brady’s fault he’s nailing a supermodel, has millions of dollars and is the best QB in the game. If you actually took your 2.5″ pecker out of your hands long enough to understand the dedication and hard work it takes, you might be a little more appreciative.
Now go back to the dark place when little Mary Rottencrotch was finger cuffed by the football team, and relive that memory. It is where you belong anyway.

What a horrible article- I only got through 4 of these and they seem so petty and ill-conceived. Why dance around what you are trying to say and just write, “I hate Tom Brady.” What a pathetic excuse for an article- someone take this clowns keyboard away from him.

The fact that you think that dirty hit on Lindros was funny is sickening sir…..
Comment by Nick — September 9, 2008 #
Nancy Kerrigan? Really?
Comment by Rick — September 9, 2008 #
This article was pathetic, go back to whatever upstairs nightshcool you went to and demand the $100 tuition fee that you paid back. Seriously, the only one that is even relevant is Canseco.
1. - Kerrigan was attacked by someone
2. - Lindros was a dirth hit
3. - Carlesimo wasn’t even hurt
4. - Rosenhouse might be a scumbag agent, but he saved a boy’s life.
Seriously, I hope you get fired for this so-called piece of journalism. And then you get hit by a bus.

Maybe you could write a post about 5 worthless writers who lose their jobs because they lack talent. I’m sure that would be funny to you. Im pretty sure you would cower and bite your tongue in front of everyone of these athletes. You’re what’s wrong with the world and America.

You guys deal with emotions like bitches… This shit is funny, but your outrage is a lot funnier….

How did you not include Bill Gramatica in this? I chuckled my ass off when that little turd blew out his knee for celebrating a routine field goal like a jackass. Schaudenfruede at its best in my opinion
Comment by Tom — September 9, 2008 #
whoever laughs at Tom’s injury is an asshole. This kind of injury can end careers and I feel sad for Tom, the only thing I can hope is that Tom has a speedy recovery and that the injury doesn’t end his career, the game won’t be the same without him. BTW I’m a Colts fan.

This is such an ill-conceived article. You have no journalistic skills only a horrible subjective-jealous view. Really, how could this even get published.

I like all the pissed off newcomers to the Complex blog. You fuckfaces should read the rest of the bullshit these assholes write… they shit on everyone… and it’s usually pretty funny too… You sports losers and your sacred cows…
Comment by suckitmarshall — September 9, 2008 #
I have to say the funniest injury I remember is when Martin Grammatica, the kicker for Tampa Bay, got injured celebrating a field goal that he kicked.

Come on, author, pls reply. See how much we hate you and how little we think of you, you faggot.
Comment by IkillUrMommy — September 9, 2008 #
I didn’t think Nancy Kerrigan’s was that funny.
Comment by Joel — September 9, 2008 #
Patriots are cheaters. So I am giggling. Maybe the pats should invest in an offensive line…..? See, the offensive line protects the QB and stuff.
Comment by Mooky MacPhereson — September 9, 2008 #
This list isn’t even interesting or funny. Much like the author’s supposed “life”…
Comment by Classless Concepts — September 10, 2008 #
I hate many athletes. Some for attitude, some for their play, some for their ridiculous contracts. Regardless of the reason, if any of them got season ending injuries, some that could be career threatening, I would feel terrible for them AND THEIR FAMILY. Could you imagine tearing a ligament in your knee and not being able to run around with your children (among other things) for 8-10 months?
But that’s fine, you go and smile about a guy on a team getting injured because he kicks the living shit out of your favorite team.
I won’t say I hope it happens to you because that would make me a hypocrite, but if it does, I hope you realize just how much of a fucking douche bag you are.
