5 Reasons Solange Is Doper Than Beyoncé
Last week Solange Knowles (Beyoncé’s kid sister) dropped her sophomore album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams. This week the numbers came in and let’s just say the only platinum she’ll be seeing is on the walls of B’s bedroom. But that’s okay…we still rock with her.
Even more than we rock with Beyoncé. We know, we know. Beyoncé’s one of our generation’s greatest superstars, but who is she, really? Damn we if know. We here at Complex like to feel like we know our stars, flaws and all. Just ask, Cassie, Weezy and the Knicks. To prove it, we listed a couple reasons why we like Solange that much more than her superstar sibling.

Every family needs a black sheep. They tend to keep things in balance. This family needs Solange to stay in touch with their “mortal” fan base. What does she have to loose? She can say and do what she wants. Very few stars have this luxury. She should concider herself blessed.

I like Solange soooo much better! She is way less of a snob! I watched a video of a guy get up on stage with her and they tried to get him off the stage and Solange said “let him stay, he’s not hurting nobody”. You think Beyonce would do that?? Hell no! That girl is a big time snob! She danced with him and everything! I also think Solange is very pretty too. Solange is way more down to earth and I hate when people criticize her. And she is talented so people who say she isn’t, STFU! The girl can sing!

Come on! That’s comparing apples to oranges! Yes Solange speaks her mind and doesn’t mind sharing personal details with the pulbic and that’s not bad, but that doesn’t mean that keeping certain opinions to yourself is a horrible thing, either. We live in a society where celebrities will shoot their mouths off on things they know nothing about! And Rosemary, what Solange did was more dangerous than anything. Yes, she’s a very nice girl and all, but there’s a reason why there is such a thing as security. Beyonce not doing the same thing as Solange did is not snobbery, she would just be protecting herself, cause you don’t know which psychos show up to your concerts.
