Back in the days, men were men and women were women. Also, rappers were rappers and gangsters were gangsters. So when stick-up kid pioneer Kelvin “50 Cent” Martin yapped LL’s shine (and possibly Rakim, too, though he was pictured on the Paid In Full album art and a known associate of Eric B., which makes it unlikely) and walked around the Fort Greene Projects rocking ‘em, it didn’t really impact the rap legends’ street cred. Fucking pussy-ass rappers!

Eric B. was a muscle man, not a DJ – Marley Marl did all the cuts on ‘Paid In Full.’ EB ran with the real 50, so consequently it’s doubtful Rakim got his chain snatched by him. As for LL, an old dude in central bookings (cus you know all niggas do in CB is talk shit) once told me that he, once upon a time, had robbed LL’s chain and that it was common-place back in the day to do so. So much so, he said, that LL used to wear fakes and keep back-ups after a while.
Ice Cube’s chain got snatched by Kam after a fight when Cube pulled up and tried to stunt on him in traffic, I thought. And in one of those ‘Beef’ movies Mack-10 makes an excellent point when he says, basically, that B-Real is a bitch for holding it up in flicks like he had anything to do with taking it off Cube.
Pac didn’t get shot over that chain, he got set up by Suge with the chain snatch beef as a convenient distraction, IMO.
50’s man robbed Ja Rule, not 50 himself. Still true about his emasculating Ja and murdering his career though. Ja’s a fag.

The Tru Life chain snatch is 100 legit. All of Jim’s chains have been taken by LES kids or Global Gangstas (chi-town, Jo Jo Capone).
