6 Cars That Should Be Released In America

The automotive companies of the world seem to finally be getting their collective minds right. After years of neglecting the drivers of America by keeping some of their hottest models off our shores, some car brands are starting to globalize their line ups. Toyota brought over two of their JDM econo-boxes and slapped the Scion badge on ‘em, while Nissan finally gave us the GTR and Ford is said to be bringing over a gang of their Euro offerings.
If that wasn’t enough, it was just reported that Honda’s going to be importing a couple gas sippin’ models like the Stream wagon (pictured above) and the Japanese version of their Odyssey minivan. While this is great news, there are a hell of a lot of other cars that would be warmly welcomed here in the States. Read about our top six below.
HONDA CIVIC TYPE R

Nevermind the fact that the Type R hasn’t been sold here in like eight years. Let’s focus on the fact that even without the high revving 198hp engine, it’s the sickest looking Honda to date.
BMW M5 TOURER (WAGON)

When BMW says that their M5 is a “four door race car,” they ain’t playing. Put it in M mode to unleash the 500 horses and it becomes a problem, turning corners without fishtailing. This is the same whip, but with a huge trunk. What’s more American than a nice ass?
MERCEDES BENZ A & B SERIES

In Europe, Mercedes-Benz has a car for everyone. Their line starts with the A Class and goes all the way to SLR super car. Why they decided to short change us is anyone’s guess. But with gas prices making guys rethink their strip club visits, now’s the time for MB to give us a car that’s as luxurious as it is economically smart. We like the Smart car (which Mercedes owns), but we kinda need a back seat.
TOYOTA CROWN SERIES

Lexus may be Toyota’s luxury brand, but one of their most luxe offerings was always their Crown series. The six car series has a ride for everyone from the young exec who wants a fast and stylish whip to the diplomat who strictly rides in the back with the curtains drawn. Hell, they even got a Hybrid now. We can already envision the T.I. endorsement.
FORD MONDEO

To Ford’s credit, they’re trying to right their wrongs. They plan on bringing over a few of their European models, including the Focus which is leaps and bounds better than the one we get. But one car that was missing from the list was the Mondeo. It’s funny that Mondeo derives from the Latin word for “world” and is, infact, sold in almost every market ‘cept for the USA. Put simply, this sedan is hot. So hot that James Bond drove it in Casino Royale. 2012 Taurus anyone?

Wow, you just opened up a new world for me. I had no idea that these companys had lines specifically designed for Europe & Asia. That sheds so much light on the current auto industry. I hope the U.S. will start exporting the junk that they give us, and keep the good stuff @ home. I don’t know if this is true but I hear that Buick is huge overseas. Is this crap, or is Tiger Woods that influential?
