Dead Space’s Gratuitous Violence Gets Animated

We have fond memories of massive, bong-fueled Resident Evil sessions (with the lights off, of course), so we’ve got high hopes for the upcoming space-horror game Dead Space (EA: 360, PS3, PC), in which a bunch of angry aliens take over an interstellar mining ship. From all accounts, the title promises to be a banger, combining the suspenseful elements of the Alien trilogy with loads more gratuitous, violent, bloody gore. And boy, do we love gratuitous, violent, bloody gore.

The game drops on October 20 (just in time for Halloween), and a straight-to-DVD animated flick called Dead Space: Downfall that explains the back story will also be in stores. The cartoon looks cool enough, but we bet a dime to a dollar that plans for a live-action adaptation movie are already in the works.
