Pushin’ The Remote Controlled Hummer

Aside from the bikini clad dimes, the other reason dudes watch James Bond movies is to see what crazy gadgets his team cooks up for him. And hands down, one of his hottest devices has to be the Sony Ericsson phone from Tomorrow Never Dies, which allowed him to remotely control his BMW 750iL. It was every grown ass kid’s dream toy, and now that dream has become a reality with the remote-controlled Hummer H3.
Built by Dr. James Brighton’s British team in about a month, the Hummer H3 can be driven by a handheld controller. The gas, break and steering are all controlled by hydraulic robotic systems, and the transmission has been modified to only have Drive, Reverse and Neutral. If you’re tired of pushin’ that Tyco around the ‘hood and wanna upgrade to an R/C Hummer, it’ll cost you no less than $70,000. After the jump, check out a video of Dr. Brighton showing off the whip.

The England’s Sun tabloid did a test drive & journalist driver lost control over the vehicle which is worth £34,000 or $68,000 (USD). Then again these are the toys of super-rich who have enough land to race one around on & buy another one just in case.
