Woody Harrelson’s Transsiberian Trek

In the great tradition of railway-related thrillers like Hitchcock’s Strangers On A Train comes Transsiberian, the new flick from indie director Brad Anderson (The Machinist). The story follows two Americans (Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer) who meet a mysterious couple while making the week-long trek from China to Moscow on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
It turns out that the couple are actually drug dealers, and by the time a Russian detective (played by Ben Kingsley) shows up, Woody and Emily realize they’ve been framed in some sort of crazy drug-murder plot. The flick was a hit at Sundance, and now it’s finally getting a limited release in the U.S. this August. Watch the new trailer below.
