If you’ve ever spent the summer at the country club working as a caddy, then we’re sorry to have to tell you this: your job has been stolen by a robot.

While some remote controlled robo-caddies have come to market before, the new Shadow Caddy from Australia takes the technology to the next level by removing the need for a pesky remote. All you need to do is slip a sensor into your pocket and the Caddy instinctively follows you around all 18 holes. Right now, they’ve only started showing up for rental on Aussie links, but its only a matter of time until they take a chunk out of the American Caddy industry.
