Tyler Stout’s Movie Posters Bring Classics Back To Life

If you’re not familiar with Washington State-based artist Tyler Stout, his comic book-influenced style has been killing the game for the last few years with commercial work commissioned by bands, film festivals and magazines. Many of his illest movie posters have appeared at Texas restaurant/theatre chain the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, who will often use Stout and other artists to create unique takes on classic movies for special screenings. Visit the artist’s website for purchase info, or see more of Stout’s work (including posters for The Warriors, Blade Runner and more) up close after the jump.

Tyler’s posters harken back to when movie posters were art and artist were allowed to be daring instead of the photoshopped large head poster art we are stuck with today. LONG LIVE TYLER!!!
