Wayne Vs. Kanye: Who Killed The “Lollipop” Remix?
It’s hard not to be out-shined by Lil Wayne, even for the cockiest of rappers. But on the new remix to Wayne’s single “Lollipop,” Kanye gives it the ol’ college try. The two superstars both throw on the beloved Auto-Tune and croon equally quirky, robotic verses, where ’Ye claims that he’s up for the challange: “This a song with Wayne, so you know it’s gon’ melt/But you ain’t finna murder me like everybody else.” Listen to the full song after the jump and vote on who came correct.

kanye’s bars had good wordplay transitioning to each other, forming a solid verse; whereas weezy’s are a bunch of unrelated yet clever rhyming punchlines strung together to make a verse.

Well, neither of em were completely on topic…although Ye’s verse leaned more towards feminine attraction. I don’t think he should have put the Weezy warning in there, but it did help. I think Wayne was scared of losing, lol. I’m gonna give it to Kanye because I think Wayne could have done alot more with 2 verses than he did.

Lil Wayne talks about random stuff that has nothin to do with the song and then he’ll have is 1 or 2 bars that kill and have everything to do with the song. Ex in this song: “Safe sex is great sex, Better wear a latex, Cuz you dont want that late text, that ‘I think I’m late text!!!!!!”
Kanye West kills all the time, his verses are always relevant to the song, and he set Wayne straight on his own song! It’s close, but Kanye is better.
