Gourmet In Your Face Summer Drops

gourmet-lead.jpg
Gourmet is an indie clothing and footwear brand on the rise, but don’t expect them to sell out anytime soon. The Italia-inspired footwear (that’s actually made in Italy) is reserved for top-tier boutiques around the nation like DQM, Commonwealth, UNDFTD, Huf and Conveyor. It’d be easy to describe the aesthetic as reinterpretations of iconic Jordan (stop catching feelings) silhouettes, but not even Tinker can be mad that the mafioso-clique made Js more fashionable. These Cease (pictured) and Desisto models will drop 7/15 and are just starters for the summer. Look for more one-toned canvas makeups to be served after the antipasto.

  12. WOW, it’s not everyday you see so many comments in the Kicks of the Day posts. However, I’m def good on these and you will never catch me in a pair of these.

I posted their Summer line up on TSG back in January, and here’s what the people had to say…

  14. I could see how people dig these - admittedly, I think they do a good job of reinterpreting the Jordans. However, most people who see you wearing ‘em are gonna say, “Huh? Did you get those in Chinatown or something?” And you’ll be explaing, “Naw, man, they’re Italian, I got em at Huf, they cost me $170…” and they’ll say, “Italian Jordan? Liar…” and you’ll say “No, the brand is Gourmet, they’re cool…” and no one’s going to believe you.

  15. Gourmet is doing nothing original. Basing show desings off Jordan models, what a biter. I hope they go out of business and the shoes go on sell for like $30.
