Young Jeezy And Kanye West Put On The Auto-Tune

It must have been annoying for Jeezy to watch Kanye’s song “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” become one of the biggest hits of the Chicago rapper’s career. See, the Graduation single was originally a remix of Jeezy’s 2006 song “I Got Money” that DJ Toomp produced. Unfortunately, Jeezy passed on the song, Kanye swooped in, finished it with Toomp (keeping Jeezy’s ad-libs in for extra trap-rap flavor), and the rest is history. And from the sound of Jeezy’s new single, he knows he lost one.
Young Jizzle has been killing it lately with a slew of R&B guest spots, but his new joint “Put On,” produced by Drumma Boy, definitely recaptures the serious, motivational mood of “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.” Sure, this is Jeezy in his element, but Kanye still manages to upstage him by using the auto-tune/vocoder effect on his memorable verse. Listen to the full song after the jump.

Man this shit is str8 garbage. You got to be a slow short bus rider to like this lean sippin ass shit. Personally I’d like to hear what Jeezy does on a Premo,Dr Dre or Pete Rock track. I dont care for rap shit. Im for the REAL HIP HOP ONLY. And as for auto tune its gettin overused and thats takin away from the essence of what hip hop is supposed to be about homies. Jeezy hasnt been in the game but for a quick minute. He’s ok as an artist but i dont spin none of his shit on my net radio show for one. I dont spin none of his shit on my mixtapes. I cant vibe to this slow ass shit. Onlt thing I can do to this is throw the fuck up from boredom. Jeezy get some real producers and Ye should be ashamed to be on a joint like this after makin a real gem like Barry Bonds and I dont even like Lil wayne but he killed that joint ( with no auto tune ). Some of you cats will disagree with me and its kool. But dont be a bandwagon rider thinkin this shit is the truth. If you from the A of course you gonna like it. But if you are a real Hip Hop nigga you might possibly see and feel what I’m sayin. As mMeth said on B.I.G’s rap phenomenon single “Put that rap shit second, And Hip Hop First” Know-The-Ledge niggas.
