Justice Gets Gangster In The “Stress” Video

justicevideo_main.jpgAfter the vibrant, artsy look of their last two videos D.A.N.C.E. and DVNO, Parisian electronica duo Justice take a decidedly different direction with their newest video for their throbbing synth banger “Stress.” The Romain-Gavras directed clip, which recently premiered on Kanye West’s blog, follows a group of young delinquents (all rocking Justice’s cross logo on their jackets) as they rage through the streets, fighting pedestrians, destroying cars and generally causing mayhem. Sounds like Grand Theft Auto meets Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. Brace yourself for the destruction after the jump.

Everybody talk about this video because noone of you all live here in Paris, where the problem of discrimination against people living in the suburbs and specially against the arabs and blacks is real. This video is a a big cliché and really contributes to reduce the arab and black people as thugs and thieves who can do nothing but breaking and stealing..
I live in France, and no one of you guys realize the impact of this video on the minorities out there, not to mention that the clip is for two rich withe musicians.
Yo Complex, think a little by yourselves before spreading this video and just following a buzz. It’s not because it’s done by Justice that it’s good, this video has a real and deep sens, and deals with real problems that cause every day big troubles in France (remember the riots in 2005). In our country is definitly hard to be arab or black, and I have to admit that it can be hard to understand the situation from a foreign country, but please think a little about what you publish and what aftermaths it can trigger off.
You’re often dealing with the rights of the blacks, as Kanye do (wasn’t his father a Black Panther ?), but you publish a video that shows a list of dangerous clichés that stigmatize arabs and blacks !
I’m not the only to say that, a lot of person feel offended by this video.
