Wesley Snipes’ Zombie Western GallowWalker

After he got a 3 year prison sentence last week for tax evasion, we feared that the great Wesley Snipes‘ career was over. But after watching the trailer for his new movie GallowWalker, we have a new reason to have hope. In this unusual take on the Western genre, Wesley plays a gun-slingin’ bounty hunter whose victims always rise from the dead, thanks to a pesky curse that was cast upon him after his nun mother broke a covenant with God.
Hong Kong action star Chow-Yun Fat was originally supposed to play the lead role, but Wesley ended up getting it made after he dropped out. After a slew of straight to DVD stinkers, it looks like this will be the first Snipes flick in theatres since 2004’s Blade: Trinity when it’s released some time in 2009. In the meantime, watch the new trailer after the jump.
