Fred 500XL Earbud Speakers Are Larger Than Life

Ever since we saw Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, we’ve dreamed about getting zapped by Rick Moranis’s shrinking ray. Aside from the threat of being eaten by someone (the digestive system is not a fun place to spend a Saturday night), it seems like it would actually be a lot of fun living life like an ant. Unfortunately, the do-nothing scientists of the real world haven’t invented the technology yet, so we’ve settled for surrounding ourselves with comically oversized props. Our first purchase: this pair of Fred 500XL speakers that resemble massive versions of the popular white iPod earbuds. They are, in fact, (you guessed it) 500 times the size of the originals. For power, it runs on batteries, but it can also be hooked up to your computer’s USB or into the wall. They’re available for $49.99 at ThinkGeek. See some more pictures after the jump.
