Street Detail: Get Layered

The next time you see a dude rocking a light jacket over a zip-hoody or crew neck sweatshirt, take note. Dressing for the weather is key during spring, especially in New York, where the temperature will drastically change within the hour—April showers in the morning, May sunshine in the afternoon. That’s why layering is the best way to prepare for mother nature. Just make sure you don’t try to keep this look in rotation during during the 80+ degree summer months—you’ll just have to wait for September. Check out how this week’s New Yorker puts his best layered look forward after the jump.

Nice to see how comfortable the above commentors are with their sexuality. Obviously, their manliness is measured by their ability to critique other people’s dress and their capacity for acting like an immature child.

Do you know how hard it is to pull off this look in L.A.?! Everyday it’s like 80 degrees!
