Stat Quo & B.O.B. Pop Off With “Double Bubble”

doublebubble_main1.jpgEven with Dr. Dre and Eminem on his team, Atlanta rapper Stat Quo has had a tough time getting his career off the ground. Rap fans have been hip to his talent since his Underground Atlanta mixtape series jumped off in 2003, but for the last several years, his Shady/Aftermath debut Statlanta has been repeatedly pushed back. It seemed like he was making a go of it last fall with the Dre-produced single “Here We Go,” but then the album never materialized.

His new single, “My Ride (Double Bubble),” an ode to his fresh whip, could be Stat’s best shot yet. This fun-loving duet with fellow ATLien B.O.B. is filled with an infectious doo-wop sound that has “summer anthem” written all over it. Listen to the track after the jump.
