Trendhumper: Flat Tops

20 years ago Big Daddy Kane, Kid n’ Play, and Kwame made the flat top style cutting edge. But today’s post-Yo! MTV Raps generation has carbon-copied the trend of yesteryear with hopes of bringing it back. If you live outside of NYC, this trend might just be hitting your town, but for the last few years, fashionista folks like The Retro Kids (pictured above) have been inspiring our city’s youth to rock the throwback style.
Think flattops still have a place in fashion today? Hump or Dump it after the jump.

if you had one in the late 80s-90s DUMP

Look I will say this there is several reasons why that hairstyle was banned. It was tacky a waste of dough.
You couldn’t watch a movie with your lady with out her complaining about the mofo in front of you.
No one in the cooperate world would ever take a brother serious.
