Xbox Drops 500 Limited Edition GTA IV 360s
Microsoft added to the buzz leading up to the anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto IV by dropping a limited run of 500 GTA-branded Xbox 360 Elite systems and a briefcase full of peripherals today. We got our hands on number 170 out of 500. More pics after the jump.
The guys at Xbox took an Elite system and, using automotive-quality paint, touched up the sides of the 360 with the GTA IV box art and a serial number. Not a bad way to welcome the first title in the franchise that didn’t drop as a Sony exclusive. Rockstar is also producing exclusive episodes for 360 users available for download this fall. Hopefully it involves Bill Gates and Warren Buffet rolling up on GTA IV’s featured hitter Niko Bellic. The game finally drops on April 29. Unfortunately, the limited run of GTA IV 360s ain’t available in stores.

Sam is living proof of the moronic fanboys that plague every country. Each system has different things to offer. I have every system available and I do have to say as it stands right now in my opinion for gaming the 360 is a little better. Not saying it will always be that way but for the last 2 years it has held true. Why cant everyone just enjoy all that the gaming community has to offer instead of arguing which system is better.

Yeah, Microsoft is kinda milking off all the buyers there’s not one person I know in my classes that own a PS3 though. Make a DoA edition 360 however, and I’d be running to get it.

i bought both consoles at launch and use each equally for gaming and the ps3 a decent amount more for blu ray. i am already on my 5th 360 while the ps3 is still oerating problem free. not knocking microsoft and definitely not saying the ps3 doesnt fail also, but my experience has shown the ps3 to be of mich igher quality than the 360.

“Paints”…that’s way too much effort. I image searched for GTA4 art, used the standard 4,800 dpi setting on my old ink jet printer, laminated it, and taped it to my 360. Voila…instant duplicate for easily half the price. If you live in the Southern Indiana area I’ll do it for you for 100 bucks.

OMG, this is a must! 360 runs GTA 4 at a higher FPS,with bette, more vibrant colors. PS3 blows- more expensive, basically a PS2 with a better graphics and bluray, wipty f***ng doo, hooo cares about blu ray. This 360 is awesome microsoftwold make a lot of $$$ if sold at retail stores, i love microsoft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) again— ps3= + $200 worth of a shiny case, and a useless bluray player with crap controllers, Y WOULD YOU EVER MAKE A CONTROLER W/O VIBRTION!!!!!!!!!! O ya, back to my point, this 360 is very slick, i mean the new paint, is a very good job. very good compared to the simpsons edition which the gave away on mtv, Microsoft has done it again.
PS- i hope mirsoft doesnt let sony buy rockstar because if they do, the GTA series domination on microsoft consoles will beor after gta 4
