‘Farmers’ For Obama

Fresh off the heels of last night’s debate, here’s some change you can’t Xerox. Artist duo and creative agriculturists, the Date Farmers, are releasing this hand made limited edition campaign print (300pcs.) in support of Barack Hussein Obama. They’re being peddled via Upper Playground and the ‘Farmers’ are promising to use all the proceeds to make and mass-distribute more posters throughout Texas, which is holding it’s primary on March 4th and could help determine the Democratic presidential candidate. The prints are are all signed, numbered, and selling for $200 a pop. One thing’s for sure, they’re certainly more progressive and hopeful than this piss poor attempt.
I would like to thank the author of this write up for showcasing his ignorance.
Thank you uneducated, ignorant human. Thank you.

Hey Jared, what’s your beef with the writeup man? Because I don’t really see anything wrong or out of bounds about it.
Not an Obama fan? Or are you an Obama fan and you don’t like the Xerox quip maybe? Or you prefer the “piss poor attempt” posters it links to?
Enlighten us. Calling the author of the write up “ignorant” and not posting anything else doesn’t really give us (or the author) much to go on.

Sorry, but the “piss poor” posters you linked are so much better than this one. Promote this one all you like, but don’t hate on another artist’s solid work - especially when that artist has sold all of his prints and you’re still hocking this stuff. Get a grip.

Is it just me or is Obama’s face made to “look” more Latino? Those aren’t Barack Obama’s eyes.

Respectively communist.

Great poster. Where can we get a hi-def EPS to print our own copies to post around town?
Don’t hate on Fairy’s stuff, though.

I just bought some of these, at 200 a piece. I’m a trader and a collector. Let me just say this, I think these will be selling at a significant premium to the current price on year from now. (I did not hog them, however. I bought only two: one for keeps and one for collecting or to trade years from now).
It’s a gorgeous, and fantastic piece of work. Regardless of whether Obama wins the general election, it’s clear that he is now firmly established as a Cultural Icon.
Again, my hat’s off to the artists.

I think the poster is FANTASTIC! (Wish I could pop off 200 for one.)

This poster is great. But I think referring to Shepard Fairey’s work as “piss poor” is a rather ignorant comment on your part. Especially when the poster by The Mac, featured in today’s earlier post, looks suspiciously similar to Shepards…which I’m pretty certain was created first.
FYI, Shepards first editions are going for $1,000.00 and higher. I guess it pay’s to be a well known, “piss poor” artist.

The poster by Mac was produced by Shepard Fairey, hence the similar format.

I bought several of these (I see others have as well). They are going to be worth 2000.00 a piece by next year. They are a limited edition. And signed.
Oh and guess what?
They are now sold out.
