Rap Sheet: Huntin’ Season

• Make or break: Diddy’s semi-reality show, “Making the Band,” kicks off its 4th season tonight. The rap mogul explains the allure, “It’s that behind-the-scenes pressure, when you’re on a record label and trying to all come out [with new albums] at the same time, that people usually don’t get to see.”

• Harlem world: Jim Jones is back at it. His new mixtape, “Harlem’s American Gangster,” hits the streets on February 19 features the entire Byrdgang crew and is “hosted” by Dame Dash, whatever that means. Hit up Jim’s obligatory MySpace for more.

• Weezing: Lil Wayne apologized to a sell out Richmond, Virginia crowd after showing up more than three hours late, thank in part to the recent legal drama he had to deal with in Arizona. He told his fans, “I just flew in 10 minutes ago. I just had to deal with a whole lot of bullshitt today, but I guess you know that.”
