Rap Sheet: Ludacris On ‘Live’

- Funny business: In case you missed SNL this past weekend, here’s Luda’s opening monologue. Our fav, “If I’m stopped by the cops I’m Chris Bridges, if I’m stopped by a black cop I’m Ludacris.”
- Striking gold: Louis Vuitton is teaming up with Pharrell to create a new line of jewelry called Blason. The pieces, which will officially be unveiled on January 21, will range in price from $2,070 to $621,000 and will be sold in in Louie flagship stores worldwide.
- Let’s reminisce: Legendary producer Pete Rock discusses the old vs. new and other aspects of the Hip Hop industry in this interview. As far as internet e-thuggery goes, let’s just say he’s not a fan, “[A]s far as like putting people on front street all the time it's negative. It's really negative…to blast somebody on youtube or whatever, I think that shit is wack. That shit is wack. I don't think that it was the base on why these things were started.”
- LOL: Good news. VH1 has recruited the Wayans Bros. for a new pilot about a rising Hip Hop Star. “The Life and Times of Marcus 'Felony' Brown,” will star Darius McCrary, who will play a hardcore rapper who moves to the East Coast with his crew.

Darius McCrary? As in the Darius McCrary that played Eddie Winslow on “Family Matters”? Wow, I see absolutely no problems in the future for this show whatsoever.
