  • New tunes: After shunning iTunes and refusing to let his American Gangster album be sold as singles'cause it would ruin the artistic integrity'there’s a old rumor turned new that Hov plans on starting a new record label with Steve Jobs’ Apple.
  • Whitewash: Proof that Australia is literally upside down. Here’s an actual article praising Vanilla Ice and billing him as the “world’s first breakout white rapper.” Ahem, Beastie Boys, anyone? The only interesting tidbit is the rehashing of the Suge Knight episode in which the Death Row Records CEO allegedly hung him by his ankles and took his “Ice Ice Baby” money to help fund the careeers of Tupac, Snoop, and Dre. Van Winkle even admits to bitching out, “Yes, he illegally took money from Ice Ice Baby — whatever.I never went to the police because I knew who he was. He was a serious guy.”
  • Everyone’s got an opinion: Last week the New York Times published an article about declining sales in Hip Hop. This week NY Mag sifts through the comments to reveal how the Grey Lady’s readership feels about “Rap,” and “bling.”
  • Steady Mobbin’: Prodigy makes it evident that there’s no love lost between himself and Jay-Z in this recent interview with Rhapsody. “He’s always gonna be Gay-Z no matter what.” P also said that Hovie was lying about the ballerina pictures, that were mentioned in “Takeover.”
