- The way of life: Brooklyn based Joell Ortiz waxes poetically about the “Ups and Downs” in new video.
- Live: David Letterman will be returning to the air tonight with his writers—he penned an interim deal with the WGA—and announced that Friday’s guests will included Donald Trump and Lupe Fiasco.
- Money from heaven: ODB’s estate has inked a deal with MerchDirect to create merchandise. Ol’ Dirty’s widow, Icelene Jones, okayed the agreement that will include t-shirts, posters, and other items. They’re hoping to reach that widespread demographic, “We feel that ODB appeals to Taking Back Sunday’s fans but also appeals to a Joss Stone fan or the white suburban kids who totally love it and get it, and it’s authentic Hip-Hop that real Hip-Hop guys are going to go for,’ said MerchDirect co-founder Lee Tepper.”
- Payback’s a bitch: Suge Knight claims he’s the victim of fraud. A LA judge ordered the Death Row Records founder pay $130-million to Lydia Harris, who maintains that she founded the label with Suge. But new evidence allegedly bolsters Suge’s case and he’s requesting the money be put on hold.
