  • Walking away: After a months of rampant speculation, Jay-Z is stepping down as president of Def Jam. “Now it’s time for me to take on new challenges. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to build upon the Def Jam legacy.” Hov plans on working on his other businesses such as his 40/40 expansion program.
  • Trial and error: First Yung Joc gets arrested for trying to bring a handgun on a Delta Airlines flight. He then posts $50,000 bail and for some thought it would be a good idea to miss his arraignment. He’s now officially a “fugitive.” Sure, we’ll give him mad hood points, but common sense? Not so much.
  • Real estates: Kanye is selling his Beverly Hills home. It could be yours for a cool $8.7 million. He’ll even throw in plans for a new house if you meet the asking price. The rapper was planning on tearing down the six-bedroom house built way back in 1921.
  • Going strong: Prodigy plans on using his incarcerated time wisely,”While I’m locked up, I’m going to be writing lyrics, working on the script for my second feature film, Dope, and finish writing an autobiography of my life which will be finished by the time I’m released. My mind is going to be focused and I’ll have time to think and map out my entire plan. The experience will make me a tougher, stronger person. I’m gonna work on getting out faster, so I can get back to doing what I do best. When I get home, it’s gonna be on.”
